Description

Macademia trees are cultivated and grown in tropical climates and volcanic soils, such as Brazil, Hawaii, Indonesia, Costa Rica and New Zealand. They first appeared in Australia and were named in 1857 by the botanist Baron Ferdinand von Mueller (physician, geographer but mainly botanist) in honor of John Macadam, a professor of medicine. 70-75% of the fats they contain are healthy. They help lower cholesterol and promote good heart health (of course they should be consumed in moderation). They give us the feeling of fullness in the stomach, as a result of which they benefit in the reduction of body weight. One type of monounsaturated fatty acid is palmitate oil, which helps to change fat faster so that it is not stored in our body. It is a source of vitamin A, iron, protein, thiamine (B1), selenium, calcium and phosphorus.
